ORIENTATION

Applicants to MFS will attend an orientation to prepare for the year of discovery ahead. Orientation is required and the final step in making sure forest school is a great fit for your family.

Your tuition includes:

  • JOY! - Every child deserves a school experience filled with joy, laughter, and discovery.

  • Play and Discovery...Outside! - Check out the research on why this is SO important.

  • Consistency - Forest Schools are safe by design and very rarely have pandemic-related closures.

  • Low Child:Teacher Ratios - 6:1 for ages 3-6, 10:1 for ages 6-12

  • In-Person Instruction, always - Virtual, off-campus learning is intentionally absent, because that's not what we're here for!

  • Community - Surround yourself and your child with a network of families who have similar goals.

  • Emergent Curriculum - Child-led discovery that's fueled by their interaction with the natural world

  • Parallel Montessori Curriculum - Teacher-guided curriculum based on the core content most important for success after forest school
